17th Jan'2020, 2nd ODI: Australia & India at Rajkot

In the 2nd ODI, India won against Australia. Australia restricted Shikar Dhawan from making century and bowled him at 96, a few inches from away from triple figure. In revenge, India bowled out Steven Smith at 98, Kuldeep Yadav picked up this wonderful wicket with magical ball. This match is considered as one of the big scoring matches especially in between India & Australia.

India: 340/6(50 Overs, Run Rate: 6.80).
Australia: 303/10(49.1 Overs, Run Rate: 6.18).

Virat Kohli - 78. 

It was Australia who won the toss and opted to bowl first as chasing worked out very well in the first match of this series where they won the match without loosing a single wicket. In which Ausies openers Warner and Finch both made centuries, taking their team to very very comfortable victory. Coming back to second match, India made 340 as Rohit(42), Dhawan(96), Kohli(78), & Lokesh Rahul(80) made good contribution.

Kane Richardso took 2 wickets but gave away runs with 7.50 economy. whereas Adam Zampa with his magical performance picked 3 wickets with economy 5. India's Jasprit Bumrah bowled 2 maidens in this match & Australia's Pat Cummins bowled 1 maiden for his team.

Man of the match was awarded to Lokesh Rahul who holds highest strike batsman for this match with 153.85, he made 80 runs from only 52 balls which includes 3 six'es and 6 fours, finally he got run out by Alex Carey. Special appreciation to Rahul, for time behind the wickets, his stunning keeping skills with which he dismissed Aaron Finch.

Totally in this match four batsman missed their chances of making century ie Shikar Dhawan, Steven Smith, Lokesh Rahul, & Virat Kohli. Whereas Marnus Labuschagne missed his fifty by getting out at 46 runs.

Kuldeep Yadav joined 100 ODI wickets club with his 2 wickets in this match. Totally Kuldeep Yadav is the 22nd Indian to do this and 8th spinner to achieve this feet. He is now the third fastest Indian to take 100 ODI wickets in 56 Innings/58 Matches. Only Kuldeep Yadav is the first Indian bowler to take 2 hat-tricks in ODI's. Earlier Chetan Sharma & Kapil Dev took hat-trick in this format of cricket.
